His Royal Highness Sultan Qaboos of Oman has instituted an I.T. Chair at the NED University of Engineering & Technology. NED is a Leading Engineering University in Pakistan and has well established Engineering and Computer Science / Information Technology Programmes at Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
Applications are invited for the Post of PROFESSOR under the Sultan Oaboos I.T. Chair at NED University. The Applicants should be Dynamic Individuals with International Standings and Proven Research Record. I he Successful Applicants will be expected to induct Modern and Progressive International Academic Standards at the University. He/She would also be expected to become a Catalyst for Research $ Development activities and strengthen the Ph.D Programme of the University. The areas of specialisation that would be considered for the Sultan Qaboos 13. Chair include but are riot limited to:
Pattern Analysis, Machine Intelligence, VLSI Circuits, Intelligent & Configurable Embedded Systems comprising Software & Hardware and other relevant fields
The Applicants should have an earned Ph.D Degree in the relevant field from a recognised University with minimum 10 Years Post-Doctoral Experience in reputable Academic and R&D Institutions and minimum Eight 1081 Research Publications in Journals of International Repute. The Candidates should have Excellent Verbal and Written English Language Communication Skills arid experience of having supervised Ph.D. Candidates would be preferred.
The successful Applicant shall be offered an extendable Five Years Contract with initial Six Months being on Probation. The Salary shall be negotiable commensurate with the Candidate's Experience and Profile.
