VICE CHANCELLORS REQUIRED FOR AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITIES IN PUNJAB (PAKISTAN)
The Government of Punjab, Pakistan is seeking the services outstanding professionals of international repute for appointment as Vice Chancellors of the following Universities:
a. University of Agriculture, Fasalabad having its main campus at Faisalabad and sub-campuses at Dera Ghazi Khan, Toba Tek Singh and Depalpm Okara www.uaf.edu.pk).
b. Pir Mehr Ali Shah Add Agriculture University, Rawalpindi having its main carr,pus at Rawalpindi and Sub-campus at Khushab (www.uaar.ear edu.pk).
2. These are leadership pos tons with main responsibility of promoting academic excellence, transparent governance and not the university faculty and administration to work together for achieving increasingly higher standards of teaching, learning and research.
3. The position also requires rich experience in academic and financial management with proven trace record of skills in initiating and managing change. strategic planning, overseeing implementation and the capability of mobilising resources for the university and Is research programme and networking with national and international Institutions.
4. Other skills required for Vice Chancellors of these Ag cultural Universities include the abtily to integrate the results of agricultural research Ha agricuttural education and to spread the benefits of both to the farmers through a modern system of dissem nation and extension.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
PhD. or equivalent degree in any relevant academic discipine from a recognised University.
Less than 60 years of age. - Both male and female candidates are eligible.
Quality research publications in journals of international repute
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Tenure
They shall hold office curing the pleasure of the Chancel cr for a term not exceeding four years with effect from the date of Along for a period of four years with a probation period of Save ye months.
Pay
Pay and benefits as admissible to Management Position Scale-II (MP-II). In case of approval by the Punjab Government, the following salary package shall be admissible in place of MP-II.
i- Basic salary equivalent to Professor at Tenure Trace System.
ii- Vice Chancellor Allowance @ 20% of basic pay
iii. Transport and medical facilities as per entitlement of BPS-22.
iv. Any other perk and privilege granted by the Chancellor as deemed necessary uncer peculiar circumstances.
