PROJECT: PUNJAB IRRIGATION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (PIDA), an equal opportunity organization, invites applications for its project namely "Punjab Irrigation System Improvement Project (PISIP)" from suitable candidates of either sex for the following positions. The project area mainly falls in the Districts of Bahawalnagar, D. G. Khan and Rajanpur. All the positions are purely on contract basis initially for a period of I year extendable upto 30.06.2013 as per provision of PC-I of the Project.

1. Manager (Operation)(02-Posts)(Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.52,750/) B.Sc (Civil Engg.) from HEC recognized Universities. Should have at least 07 years post qualification experience in water management, development and operation of irrigation system. Havingcr experience of organizational development and knowledge of accounts matters, monitoring the performance of organization and preparation of performance reports etc. OR Masters Degree in Sociology or Rural Sociolo or Social Work or Agri-Economics or Anthropology from HF.0 recognized Universities. Should have at least 07 years post qualification experience in water management, development and operation of irrigation system. Having experience of organizational development arid knowledge of accounts matters, monitoring the performance of organization and preparation of performance reports etc. Communication skills in English, Urdu and Punjabi languages. Should be conversant with MS Office. Maximum age limit shall be 50 years.

2. Manager (M&E) (02-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.52,7501-) Masters Degree in Sociology or Rural Sociology or Social Work or Agri-Economics or Anthropology from HEC recognized Universities. Should have at least 07 years post qualification experience in M&E of functioning of community based organizations with Public / Private Organizations with special reference to water sector.
OR
B.Sc (Civil Engg.) from HEC recognized Universities. Should have at least 07 years post qualification experience in irrigation system management, operation and maintenance or 7 years post qualification experience in irrigated agriculture related fields, specially in water management. Must have experience of organizational development issues and knowledge of accounts matters, monitoring the performance of farmers based organizations and preparation of performance reports etc. Having excellent communication skills in English. Urdu and Punjabi languages. . Should be conversant with MS Office. Maximum age limit shall be 50 years.

3. Manager (Reforms) (06-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of 14s.52,7501-) Masters Degree in Sociology or Rural Sociology or Social Work or Agri-Econornics or Anthropology from I IEC recognized Universities. Should have at least 07 years post qualification practical experience in the field of social mobilization and developing community based organizations with Public / Private Organizations with special reference to water sector. Must have experience of report writing and preparing proposals, plans regarding new projects. Excellent communication skills in English. Urdu and Punjabi languages. Should be conversant with MS Office. Maximum age limit shall be 50 years.

4. Secretary AWB (02-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.52,750/-) MBA / Law Graduate from an institute / university recognized by HEC. Should have at least 07 years experience of secretarial work in large public/ private sector organizations. Experience as Company Secretary will be Plus Point. Strong capabilities for conduct of meetings, presentations, reporting and preparation of minutes of meeting etc. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essentially required. Qualification / training from Institute of Chartered Secretaries shall be considered as a plus point. Communication skills in English. Urdu and Punjabi languages. Should be conversant with MS Office. Maximum age limit shall be 50 years.

5. FO Coordinator (09-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.37,500/-) Masters Degree in Sociology or Rural Sociology or Social Work or Agri-Economics or Anthropology from HEC recognized Universities. Experience of community mobilization, (especially farming community), with Public / Private Organizations will be assigned due weightage. Proficiency in Urdu / Punjabi / English and command over MS office is a must. Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

6. Assistant Manager(Reforms)(02-Posts)(Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.37,500) Masters Degree in Sociology or Rural Sociology or Social Work or Agri-Economics or Anthropology from HEC. recognized Universities. Experience of community mobilization, (especially farming community), with Public / Private Organizations will be assigned due weightage. Proficiency in Urdu / Punjabi / English and command over MS office is a must. Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

7. Field Inspectors flech)(05-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.37,500/-) DAE (Civil) with 10 years post qualification experience of O&M of Irrigation Delivery System or working experience related to water management resources etc front Public I Private Organizations. Excellent communication skills in English. Urdu and Punjabi languages. Should be conversant with MS Office. Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

8. Assistant Coordinator (Tech) (01-Post) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.37,500/-) DAE (Civil) with 10 years post qualification experience of O&M of Irrigation Delivery System or working experience related to water management resources etc from Public / Private Organizations. Excellent communication skills in English, Urdu and Punjabi languages. Should be conversant with MS Office. Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

9. Audit Officer (02-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.43,500/-) C.A. Inter or AC:MA or ACCA or MBA (Finance) or M.Com from NEC recognized university / institute. The working knowledge of IFRS / IAS compliance, IT environment and MS office shall be assigned due weightage. Must be conversant with MS Office. Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

10. Accounts Assistant (01-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.22,500/-) B.Com from recognized institute by JIEC and command over MS office is a must. Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

11. Auditor (07-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.22,500/-) B.Com from recognized institute by HEC and command over MS office is a must Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

12. Assistant-cum-Computer Operators (10 Posts)(Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.22,500/) FA/FSc with 3 years working experience in public I private organization. Skill in MS Office, MS Project and Graphics application is a must. Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

13. Assistants (06-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.22,500/-) BA / B.Sc from NEC recognized universities. At least 3 years post qualification experience in public / private organization. Proficiency in Urdu / Punjabi / English and command over MS office is must. Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.

14. Driver (09-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.14,500/-) Literate with 5 years experience, having LTV License. Maximum age limit shall be 50 years.

15. Peon (07-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.11,600/-) Minimum middle, with 5 years experience in Public / Private Organizations. Maximum age limit shall be 40 years.

16. Chowkidar (06-Posts) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.11,600/-) Literate with 5 years experience in Public / Private Organizations or retired armed forces personnel. Maximum age limit shall be 45 years.

17. Sweeper (01-Post) (Monthly Consolidated Remuneration of Rs.11,600/-) Literate, with experience in Public / Private Organizations. Maximum age limit shall be 45 years.

The evaluation of the candidates shall be made as per Contract Appointment Policy 2004 of Government of the Punjab. All the positions arc purely on contract basis initially for a period of I year extendable upto 30.06.2013 as per provision of PC-I of the Project. The indicated remuneration and other facilities and allowances: etc, for respective positions are based on the Project Punjab Irrigation System Improvement Project which shall be admissible to the selected candidates. The selected candidates will have to perform their duties in the project areas of districts Bahawalnagar. Rajanpur and D. G. Khan. Applications addressed to the Managing Director PIDA, on duly filled Application Form given below with attested copies of academic certificates / degrees, experience certificates. C.N.I.C. etc. and one recent passport size photograph pasted on application form should be submitted on or before 12.01.2012 within office hours from the date of advertisement published in the newspapers during the office hours. The applications should be submitted in sealed envelope clearly marking the position applied for. Candidates have to apply separately for each position. The Authority will not communicate with any candidate other than those who will be short listed for interviews. Incomplete application shall be rejected. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for interview. The quota for women and disable persons will be according to the policy / instructions of Government of the Punjab. The recruitment process will be completed in phases as per necessity.
