NOTICE FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS/FIRMS FOR FINANCIAL YEAR 2011-12
1. Gilgit-Baltistan Public Works Department invites applications alongwith complete Bio-Data of Firms/Contractors/Joint Ventures enlisted with GB PWD and registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and code, harmonized with PPRA rules, who have sufficient experience in execution of major projects of following sectors.

2. Only those Contractors/Firms need to apply who possess necessary potential, experties and are capable of execution of work. They must have successfully completed similar projects and should have adequate arrangement for undertaking such projects, having a qualified and experienced Executive/Engineering Staff and required T&P readily available with them for the execution of project.
3. Applications for pre-qualification, supported with all below noted attested documents should reach the office of the Secretary Works Gilgit-Baltistan in sealed covers on or before 17th January 2012. Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected summarily. The applications received after the specified date will not be entertained.
1. Name & complete address of the Contractors/Firms with telephone Nos. of office and residence.
2. Status of the Firm/Contractors/Joint Ventures, date of registration.
3. Attested copies of articles of association/partnership deed, power of attorney/affidavit in favour of any individual authorized to receive /submit tender documents, correspondence with the Department in all matters concerning to the project.
4. Registration certificate with Pakistan Engineering Council.
5. List of projects in hand with cost and particulars of clients/organizations. The pie-qualification Committee reserves the right to visit the running projects/completed projects of the respective Fii ins/Contractors/Joint Ventures.
6. CVs of Technical/Profesional/Managerial Staff in the employment of the Firm.
7. List of machinery and equipments with brief description and quantity owned by the Contractor/Frim/Joint Ventures with proof of ownership by registration authority.
8. Financial status duly supported by the Bank statement 01 last six months.
9. Particulars of arbitration/litigation cases with the clients mentioning the results, if any. The Contractor/Frims/Joint Ventures, involved in ligations will not be considered for pre-qualification.
10. Firms/Contractors/Joint Ventures providing unsubstantiated/incorrect information are liable to legal action and disqualification.
11. The contractor/Firms/Joint Ventures having not good reputation will not be pre-qualified.
12. The Contractors/Firms/Joint Ventures can apply for more than one sector.
13. Criteria for pre-qualification of contractors/firms is as under.

14. The competent authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications for pre-qualification under the provisions or PPRA rule-37.
