My client, a prestigious Investment Bank has an immediate requirement to hire an experienced Finance professional into the role of Financial Controls Director in this vital outward facing position.
You will lead a team of 10 from the front to spear-head bank wide initiatives and ensure that the financial integrity of the bank is maintained.
You will:
- Manage and run financial control projects on a regular basis.
- Stay on top of changes in the market and make the appropriate changes internally.
- Manage a team of controls specialists, and be responsible for their personal development.
- Manage relationships with key internal (the business) and external (MAS / Audit) stakeholders and champion best practice.
- Further develop and enhance an already strong financial framework to meet the standards required in today’s regulatory environment and create a true market leading department.
Requirements:
- This is a Singapore based role and requires a current working knowledge of the Singapore regulatory environment.
- For this vital hire you will need to be a proven leader, already at Director level in an Investment, corporate or private bank in North East Asia, ideally Singapore.
- You will be a strong leader, technically sound in the regulatory environment such as SOX, IFRS and the pillars mandated by the Basel Committees.
