Modeling of thermal and physiological comfort of clothes, Technical, technological and design services and Trainings, counseling as well as technical & technological expertise on quality of various fabrics.
Educational Prerequisites:
The candidates are required to have completed a baccalaureate degree in the United States or have attained a comparable non-U.S. degree/diploma from a recognized foreign institution of higher education at the time of matriculation. Achievement of GRE (general test) or MAT scores (English option). For International students, a minimum TOEFL score is 500 for admission and 550 for a teaching assistantship award in US.
Employment Prospective:
The employment prospective of this field is very bright and many doctoral degree holders may get employment in the field of Textile industry in different departments such as spinning, Texturing, Technical, technological and design services. They can also work in the research field such as Trainings, counseling as well as technical & technological expertise.
Department of Textile Chemistry and Ecology was directly involved in the foundation process of Textile Faculty. As one of the constitutional units of Faculty of Textile Technology, department presents both educational and research core, acting in accordance with modern, up to date world trends in the field of textile-chemical technologies and ecology. New educational curriculum and courses, formed by the department heads of courses and employees are compatible with the Bologna Declaration, based on undergraduate (B.Sc.), graduate (M.Sc.) and doctoral (Ph.D.) courses.
Department organizes and performs classes in the field of textile finishing, care, dyeing, printing and colour measurement. Department is equipped with up to date instruments, accessories and apparatus which enable both lecture implementation and scientific research to be performed at the highest level in specialized laboratories.
Equality of the program with European and world standards, as well as coordination and cooperation with European and American universities ensures student exchange and ability of taking certain courses abroad as well as studies continuation outside Croatia. Such an organization allows connection and cooperation among department professors, while performing magistrate and doctoral thesis, publishing scientific papers in frequently cited journals as well as whilst realizing scientific projects.
